We offer a variety of opportunities to help make a direct impact on the animals, and we are always accepting new volunteers. Our helping hands are welcome to socialize and work with the animals, or help with fundraising and events!
Volunteers under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian upon their orientation and safety training.

Join Casper College and the Casper Humane Society at the shelter to read to the animals. Provide enrichment, comfort, and confidence while they wait for their new homes.
A variety of books will be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own reading material.

Be a humane hero and join our Summer Youth Program. Engage in different activities, meet animal professionals, and share knowledge with your family and friends. Learn about and work with animals, and help provide quality care the CHS way!

We provide low-cost vaccinations to our community's animals 3 - 4 times a year.
Vaccines include Rabies, Canine DHPP, Canine Bordetella, and Feline FVRCP.
The volunteering veterinarian will also perform a brief wellness exam to address any existing health concerns that may need tending to ensure the health of your companion(s).

We provide food to our community's pets during their time of need.
Our Pet Pantry is to help pets and their owners during difficult times to ensure no mouth is left unfed. This courtesy is only possible due to generous donations from individuals and stores within our community.

We are proud to partner with the Wyoming Department of Probation & Parole, as well as the Youth Diversion Program to give non-violent offenders the opportunity to earn community service credit.
